My teaching has encompassed schools, universities and TAFE. I worked for a number of years as a Lecturer in Journalism and broadcast media (radio and multimedia) at the University of Wollongong. During my tenure at Wollongong I also had the privilege of working for the University of Papua New Guinea as part of a Go8 (Australian Universities) collaboration with UPNG to enhance teaching and learning.
Teaching at the University of Wollongong
During my five year tenure at the University of Wollongong I worked closely with students to develop multimedia stories that we had published across a range of local and national media in particular, ABC Open. Some of these went viral! It was part of a unique subject in multi-media story-telling that I developed in close collaboration with my then colleague, Associate Professor, Marcus O’Donnell See the link to the work of the very talented, Emily Duncan, my student in the multimedia subject
